Challenge 22 – Show some love for the heroes

Your challenge this week: Show those who are out doing what they can to help and protect us some thanks.

This challenge encourages the following values:
Kindness, Responsibility, Gratitude, Generosity, Resourcefulness, Resilience, Optimism, Patience, Commitment.

What you need to complete your challenge this week:20200324_0815198959225637072486531.jpg

  • Paper
  • Pens and paints
  • Sellotape
  • Window chalks
  • Computer and printer if you want to print templates out
  • Your wonderful imagination

If all else fails…
Use whatever you can to voice a message of thanks – a note in the window maybe?

Food for thought for the grown-ups:

A lesson in gratitude for what we have is a perfect lesson right now in these scary, challenging times.

For those of us safe at home that concern is quelled but for those out there keeping the bare cogs turning we must be grateful. They are the true heroes of moment.

And for the children:

I don’t want to ask much of my children right now. Keeping things normal feels right. I’m trying to treat it like a long weekend. A very long weekend, where we play, craft, read, watch films etc.

What I have talked to them about however is that whilst we’re at home playing in the garden and watching Netflix some people have to go out to work. These are the people who help in emergencies and emergencies still happen even when we all stay at home. We need heroes to bring us food, heroes to keep us safe, heroes to make us better if we get poorly etc etc.

Therefore we spent a few hours creating a window display to say thank in the only way we can right now.

So go for it,

Be creative, interpret this any way you want to. Above all have fun doing it.

THEN SHOW US YOUR DISPLAYS 🙂
